ABOUT US

What We offer:

As a new member of RockIt , each child will be allocated to a collective of like-minded indivduals, in order to form their bands. We ensure that each persons desired learning objectives, preferred style/genre and instrument is taken into consideration.

Our mentors then provide professional insight and creative construction on how each band, and member of the group, can improve within their personal technique, teamwork skills adn communication, and overall musical output.

This leads to RockIt producing a collection cohesive bands, who are regularly collaborating with eachother and working on learning new songs, or even writing their own!

This opportunity can help prepare kids who are passioate about music for live performance opportunities, such as our showcases, and can help our talent grow into the wider music scene.

RockIt sessions currently opperate on weekednds, both Saturdays and Sundays.

Our sessions last 2 hours, with 3 time slots slots available; 9:30am-11:30pm, 11:45pm-1:45pm & 14:00pm-16:00pm. There are 4 bands per session, with each band being allocated a mentor per week in order to develop different skills each session.

Presently, we have one available slot our Sunday sessions are the only sessions with availability, however we are looking to expand with the continuing growth of the company, welcoming both new mentors and students!

Our Facilities

RockIt is hosted at The Ramp, a state-of-the-art facility made possible by the generous donations and goodwill of the community. This collective effort continues to bring our community together, with donations allowing us to construct three practice rooms and a stage, offering a comprehensive environment for musical development.

Our Future Developments

After listening to your feedback we now have plans to expand! these provisions to include:

  • Funded places- with continuous donations and assistance from our ongoing investors we are looking to make room for 5 sponsored students who otherwise would not have accessibility to our programme

  • The construction of an on-sight recording space- we are currently working on building our brand new live recording space, fit to record live music in order to record bands and produce tracks! This expantion will allow us to encorperate new skills in techincal areas of music, such as live recording, mixing and mastering.

We anticipate that this expansion will take place over the next 12 months, providing greater opportunities for young musicians. We will see more seasoned professionals joining the movement providing masterclasses and a chance to record their creations.
